mitzi

not a good idea to leave mitzi so soon after losing bonnie. she wasn't happy about that!still, i had a great time in weston with my friend sue. we went to see 'mad about musicals' in the playhouse. not the best musical i've seen, but it made a change. back home again now and mitzi is settling down at last. my sister is moving overseas to live next week, so that feels weird. on the plus side i've been invited to spend a holiday in barbados next year! i don't suppose she'll be sorry to leave the glorious british summer behind.

well it's been two weeks since bonnie passed away and though it's still painful i am slowly coming to terms with it. mitzi has been very quiet but is starting to get back to normal now. i wish she could talk to me about how she feels. has she been grieving, too?
i'm going away for a couple of days to visit an old friend and mitzi will stay with my daughter. she loves going for lots of walks with her, so i hope it will do her good as well.
i have lost pets before but this has been terrible, is it because i am getting older, i wonder? (i hope i wont sound so miserable in my next post!)
